2013 Toyota Avalon Limited

2013 Toyota Avalon Exterior Front

The fully redesigned 2013 Toyota Avalon is packed full of the latest safety, comforts and technology which is why it remains the flagship sedan of Toyota. The Avalon has seen many changes since its inception in 1994, but the latest 2013 Toyota Avalon has seen the most radical changes to date. The exterior finally stands out with a bolder grille and sleeker more aggressive lines, which is in keeping with the times. Perhaps the continuous decline in Avalon sales since 2000 has spurred Toyota into redesigning the 2013 Toyota Avalon to appeal to a younger crowd.

QUIET, SMOOTH, LEXUS-LIKE RIDE

When inside the cabin, great soundproofing keeps the engine and outside noises and to a minimum. In fact, you can’t even hear the engine running unless you are accelerating. Driving the 2013 Toyota Avalon is a relaxing mix of smooth driving, responsive acceleration within a quiet atmosphere.

It is easy to see the high level of engineering that went into the engine of the 2013 Toyota Avalon when taking into account the powerful acceleration generated from only 268 horsepower. This power coupled with the 6 speed automatic transmission (with manual paddle shifters) provides great mileage rated at 9.9 L/100km in the city and 6.4 L/100km on the highway.

The 2013 Toyota Avalon demonstrates the perfect balance of power, acceleration and fuel economy, resulting in a smooth and quiet ride for their flagship sedan.

SIMPLE, CLEAN AND TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED INTERIOR

2013 Toyota Avalon Interior

Sitting in the 2013 Toyota Avalon doesn’t leave you feeling overwhelmed with buttons, options and dials. Instead, Toyota has taken a minimalistic approach to the dash by offering three displays and touch sensitive controls. Coloured displays are used for driving information (speed, consumption, trip, odometer, etc…), audio and navigation control and climate control.

The 2013 Toyota Avalon’s spacious, well designed interior offers many storage areas and lots of room for its passengers. The multi-tiered dash showcasing polished wood and stitched materials is definitely in keeping with a top of the line sedan. Add to this, the plush leather 8 or 10 way electronically adjustable front seats and the spacious heated rear seats with climate control and you have the makings of a fully equipped flagship sedan.

ADVANCED SAFETY FEATURES

Safety is taken to the next level in the 2013 Toyota Avalon with 10 airbags including front passenger knee airbags and side seat mounted airbags for front and rear passengers. Other useful safety features include the blindspot monitoring system displaying on the side mirrors and the cross traffic alert which will warn you when reversing if there is traffic coming across behind you. If you don’t like to back in to a parking spot then the cross traffic alert feature will be very useful to you.

2013 Toyota Avalon Exterior Side

Overall I found driving the 2013 Toyota Avalon to be highly enjoyable and I was left feeling relaxed after every drive. I attribute this relaxed feeling to the smooth and quiet ride coupled with the simple but classy interior with easy to activate controls. Toyota may have a winner for the younger generations looking for a large sedan at an affordable starting price of $36,800, which comes packed with technology and great performance.
