The 2015 Honda Accord is the bigger brother to the 2015 Honda Civic and similarly has been one of the best selling cars in the US for over 15 years. Most popular for its 4 door variation, the 2015 Honda Accord is a full size sedan as of 2007 (mid-size sedan prior to 2007), offering quality, elegance, reliability and great value for money.

The 2015 Honda Accord is offered as a coupe, sedan and hybrid sedan, each offered with various packages and trim levels. The sedan pricing ranges from $24,050 for the base model LX to $35,630 for the top of the line Touring V6 model. All models run on either the 2.4L four cylinder engine outputting 185hp (189hp for the sport model with slightly different tuning) or the 3.5L six cylinder outputting 278hp. The four cylinder engines are paired with either a manual or CVT transmission while the six cylinder engine is only available with the CVT.

Having had the pleasure of testing the 2015 Honda Accord V6 Touring, the bigger engine makes for a more refined drive with plenty of power at hand. Smooth and quiet accelerations, seamless downshifting with the CVT and responsive handling all add to a reassuring feeling while behind the wheel. The 278hp adds a noticeable kick and roar when pushed to the limit, but all kept under control by the well engineered CVT combined with the front wheel drive setup.

For a full size sedan, fuel economy is quite efficient and resulted with a 9.8 L/100km average consumption over our 250km combined city and highway test drive. With consumptions listed at 11.0 L/100km (city) and 6.8 L/100km (highway), our test drive falls right in between! The 2015 Accord goes one step further with two fuel savings features. The Eco Assist System educates drivers about fuel efficient driving through visual displays of green and white by the speedometer to track how efficiently you drive. Also, the ECON mode button helps keep the engine efficient by removing non-essential functions.

The classy exterior styling of the 2015 Honda Accord Touring V6 sports 19 inch alloy wheels, a low-profile spoiler, dual exhaust and side-sill extensions adding a subtle classiness to its overall appearance. Although there are no edgy accent lines or curves and the 2015 Accord doesn’t necessarily pop or stand out in a crowd, it does have that timeless elegant design that won’t become outdated over the years.

The spacious interior provides ample leg and head room for five adults to fit in the firm yet comfortable seats. The 2015 Accord’s interior also has noticeably reduced road, wind and tire noise than previous generation Accords.
