2019 Infiniti QX60 Review

Fitting into the middle of Infiniti’s SUV lineup, the 2019 Infiniti QX60 is a mid-sized SUV with seating for 7 adults. Larger than the 2019 QX50 but smaller than the QX80, the 2019 QX60 shares the same platform as the Nissan Pathfinder, which means it’s the perfect size when searching in the category for a 3-row SUV.

ELEGANT EXTERIOR

The 2109 Infiniti QX60 has been nipped and tucked throughout its life and the current version manages to cover up its weight quite well! The lines and curves from the outside make it appear much smaller than it actually is when you’re sitting inside the cabin.

The 2019 QX60 sports a modern mesh grille, swept-back headlights, a lower fascia design and chrome highlights, tying it in with Infiniti’s corporate design language extremely well. Many of the attractive curves are highlighted with various accent lines flowing from front to rear.

Overall the design is sleek and elegant but most importantly timeless, which will allow the design to remain current throughout time. The 2019 QX60’s
profile is enhanced by long chrome strips that span the length of the vehicle and reach a sleek crescent kickback that a lot of Infinitis wear well.

VERSATILE INTERIOR

The 2019 QX60 is a versatile family SUV that really pays attention to the details and makes life easier transporting kids. The best example showcasing the QX60’s focus on family is the second row seats, which slide 5.5 inches to increase leg room in either the second or third row depending where you need it. Even more family oriented is the second row seat that tilts and slides without having to remove an attached child seat, providing access to the 3rd row seats.

The spacious interior of the 2019 Infiniti QX60 showcases plush leather seats that are both comfortable and firm. The wood grain finish adds a warmth to the interior, while the multiple glass roof panels brighten the mood. Overall the interior is luxurious and elegant with an intuitive layout of controls and plenty of storage areas, including a massive center console armrest.

PERFORMANCE AND DRIVE

All 2019 Infiniti QX60 models are equipped with the 3.5L V6 engine that outputs 295hp and is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The CVT works unobtrusively, delivering smooth gear shifts and a quiet ride. Adding to the quiet ride is the active noise cancelation which helps reduce engine and road noise inside the cabin.

The powerful engine is responsive in accelerating, while the transmission does a great job of determining when more power is needed. Even though the 2019 QX60 is great at hauling family and cargo, it also delivers in the performance department. A selector for driving mode also helps to customize the driving experience while overall the handling is precise and the steering is true.

Thanks to the CVT, the 2019 QX60 delivers an attractive fuel economy clocking in at 12.5 L/100km in the city and 9.0 L/100km on the highway.

FINAL THOUGHTS

The 2019 Infiniti QX60’s focus on delivering family focused features, coupled with the luxurious interior makes it a top choice for versatility, convenience and comfort. The 2019 QX60 delivers great value with a starting price of $48,695, while the three options packages to choose from will ensure the ideal combination of features for your situation.
