Overall sales totals reached $ 50 million at the 2016 Mecum Daytime Auction in Monterey, Calif., with strong individual sales topped by several cars that reached or exceeded the million-dollar mark. Headlined this year by three vehicles that hammered at $ 4.7 million, $ 4.4 million and $ 3 million, respectively, the Mecum Daytime Auction hosted a total of 704 high-end classic and collector cars, all of which crossed the Mecum auction block Aug. 18-20.
