Many different chassis were bodied by Henri Chapron, but this is the only Hispano-Suiza H6B landaulet he built, and he was so delighted with the design he named it ‘Splendid.’ This car is one of the earliest H6Bs; it was delivered in November 1922 to Hispano dealer and racing driver Paul Bablot, who sold it a few months later to its first private owner in Marseille.
