The Best Cars For Young Families

There comes a time in many people’s lives where they need to stop looking at what cars look hot and come jam packed with plenty of cool gadgets and accessories…and start looking at cars that emphasize space, safety, and reliability. We’re talking, of course, about when we decide it’s time to settle down and start a family. But when we have little ones in tow and maybe more on the way, what car should you be looking at getting? Below we take a look at five of the favorites that’ll help you decide which car will be taking your little family from A to B.

Style and Function

The Honda CR-V has been around for more than two decades, and there’s good reason why: it works. While this compact SUV used to be best known for its practicality rather than anything flash, the latest is combining its excellent functionality with plenty of style and features. It always was made with families in mind. The extensive safety features limit the chances of a car accident, which is always a top priority for families. If you’re not using the back seats, you’ll fold them down and have space for your camping gear or other bulky gear. And with a pretty low starting cost, there’s little to dislike about this ever popular vehicle.

Space Galore

Some family vehicles emphasize safety, some others value space. The Kia Sportage is one of these vehicles. This SUV packs a lot inside, with more space than you’ll know how to shake a stick at. There’ll be more than enough room for the family, the children’s toys and sporting equipment, and the shopping. Other additions such as individual air vents and USB ports will mean there’s not much for the kids to argue about when they’re on a ride in this vehicle!

A Family Favorite

If a car gets everything you want from a family vehicle, then it’s worth taking a look at. The Honda Odyssey minivan excels in providing the space and comfort that a young family needs to feel at home in their vehicle. Of course, there’s a superior trim available, one that includes a DVD entertainment system for the backseat riders to enjoy. Really, this vehicle is just about the cliche family vehicle – in the best possible way, of course.

For the Purists

It’s sometimes true that you’re not always looking for a car that comes with flashy gimmicks. You just want a car that rides well, that is safe and comfortable for all its passengers, and which will be as reliable in 5 year’s time as it is today. If that all sounds good to you, then take a look at the Toyota Sienna. There’s not too many things to get overly excited about in the entry level model, but opt for a superior model and it gets very exciting indeed. Also, while it’s not the driving point for your sale it’s worth noting that the Toyota Sienna holds its value better than most vehicles!
